Women certainly understand honor. That’s why they always drink the poison when they lose after acting fiendishly. They can’t handle the disgrace. Some men would face it and admit, but I’ve never heard of a woman that faced it yet.
There is a book by Roland Muller called Honor and Shame. He gives a clear picture of what actually happened in the Garden when Adam and Eve fell. We in the west think almost exclusively of humanity being guilty of sin. And as Bill points out, that is primarily an internal conviction. But Muller points out that in the Fall we lost more than that. We had innocence and got guilt. We had honor from God and got shame. We had power from God and got fear. And today we can see that all over the world in greater and greater degrees, even when people don’t want to admit to it. And in not admitting it, the world becomes dirtier and dirtier, more and more shamed, and more and more fearful. He is the ONLY way back because He is the One Who took all of the guilt and shame and fear to the cross and came out alive.
I keep remembering the walk of shame in What We Do in the Shadows. For the older vampires, the walk of shame was mortifying, but for the young ones, it had no effect.

If you demoralize all bad behavior, eliminate the differences between males and females, give people money for doing nothing and get rid of the problem children, those that are left are converted to mindless drones that can be controlled by those in power. As long as their baser instincts and needs are addressed, they’re reduced to sub-human status and can be treated as such.

There’s another side to the coin. We shouldn’t let people shame us for things that are either not shameful or that we don’t do.
I.E. I’m not ashamed of being a White Male Racist because I’m not. I’m a white male but I’m not a racist.
I’m not ashamed of saying that there are only two sexes, one with a double pair of “X” chromosomes and one with a set of “XY” chromosomes. That’s the science, there’s no need to be ashamed of science either.
I find it amazing in duplicity that those who have burned away their conscience try to use shame on the rest of us. While at the same time being incapable of recognizing their own shameful behavior.
Or as I like to simplify your sentiment, “I refuse to be lectured on ‘following the science’ by someone who doesn’t undertand that a person who has a d*** is a man.”

Parents who care about what is going on in their schools are stepping up – you know, being “domestic terrorists” against their holy of holy school boards. Not only is porn ubiquitous, our young are being taught about it in their schools. Just one more weapon in the arsenal of the left to crush the moral character of the citizens they are tirelessly hoping to turn into mindless, soulless slaves.

I certainly hope Little Bob’s school won’t be infected by this unbelievable, unimaginable and disgusting promotion of material that is corrupting and oh so terribly attractive to the curiosity of children between the ages of 10 and 15. I’m sure you will be vigilant and on the watch for it in his school.
So why, why, why do parents keeps their kids in these schools? I’m glad that we are now seeing some push back by parents at school board meetings, but when they are met with counter push back by school board members walking out, the federal government labeling parents as domestic terrorists, and whatever other diabolical schemes the perverted brains of the left can com up with, it is time to take your kids out!
There are reasons. I’ll be posting this here in the not too distant future, but to give the quick answer:
1) Little Bob is going to face this at some point – I’d rather start confronting it early.
2) What kind of country will we have if we have several generations indoctrinated on this crud? The time to fight is now.

To the pornography point … and the damage prolific, unlimited, easy access to whatever fetish videos you desire can do (even to adults, but younger and younger adults as kids get started on it earlier and earlier) … go read forums like rebootnation.org . There are people who are being severely mentally damaged by it to the point where they cannot “function” physically or often in society. It’s being referred to as “the other drug”. It’s not “just” the “stars” anymore. It’s not harmless.
Shame has a purpose.
I’ve been struggling with this myself, as I believe, and apparently the founders believed, that this was the way to go. Shame and honor as social pressures would by and large regulate the populace and ensure appropriate values would be propagated in society and reflected in our representative government.
It is why at least one of them said that our system would not work without a moral and religious people.
At the time, I think that “religious” was largely assumed to be “Christian” or the culture that it shaped. There are certainly other religions that are about as effective. Some do it better than others, but it doesn’t HAVE to be Christian. I’m digressing, though.
Now not only do we have a lot of what I would call bogus religion – mambsy pambsy cherry-picking customized religions that are constructed to make us feel good about ourselves, mainly, rather than to move us toward being better people.
So bottom line, moral social pressure is exactly what the founders relied upon constructing our system.
What we see now with the “woke” religion — and it is basically a religion, it has rituals and morals sin and an academic clergy. The one thing it lacks, glaringly, is redemption. It has this false redemption, which by the way it is constructed, can never come to fruition. You’re always guilty.
So “they” are applying their own social pressure to foment change in society which will either foment changes in the values we vote for or have us fighting each other so hard we won’t notice, or will actually welcome … the assertion of power allegedly to make it all go away.
We’ve talked about it before, they use the tolerance and forgiveness inherent in western culture, shaped by Christianity … against it.
Why shame works is probaby biologically programmed into us as social beasts. Like any of our more or less instinctive urges, it can be abused to manipulate people in both good and evil ways.
