President Trump unveils his plan to Open America Up Again — a plan that’s phased, grounded in science, and state-centric. Critics immediately complained about the details of the plan, lack of funding and testing resources, and Trump’s apparent reversal regarding the role of the state governors.

Interesting on Americans feeling this is a vacation… did I paraphrase that correctly? We are in a “essential activity” and are working harder than any time in my 35+ year career in Red/Blue teams while the work load is more with the added COVID controls… testing every entrant to our facilities for temperature and a question list (regarding traveling and symptoms)….. My adult kids are experiencing their first ever layoffs and coming to us for help. Social distancing is working in Arizona and NY took entirely too long to acknowledge their transit system was the super highway of infection…. Arizona has no avenue for transferring infections. The comments on state lines transfering the virus is silly…. anyone that is off site for 5 or more days, are isolated for 14 days and tested each day until we know with some certainty the possibility of virus transfer is low… then we can let those traveling workers (usually welders, pipe fitters, electricans, etc) into our sites for shutdowns (which are big money for those traveling trades.

Gosh… I wish I could watch more Bill Whittle and get a chance to comment.

Scott, apropos of nothing… someone made a comment the other day – on another episode – about your beard growing. I have no comment on that, preferring clean shaven men myself (maybe a mustache, especially if well-groomed).
But…
That made me notice your hair, and how the close-trimming of it by cheap stylists made you look almost bald! (Not that bald is bad, but I digress…)
Your hair is growing back big time, and it looks great!
You may be one of the few Americans benefiting by the closing (temporarily) of barter shops!

It’s worse than you surmise, Grace. I was doing my own haircuts…all cheap, no stylist. My lovely bride has lodged formal complaints against any attempts to shave the head, so that’s on hold until age produces the same effect. That said, thank you for the kind words. BTW, if you turn my head upside down, my hair looks even fuller.

Bill, you said COVID-19 is going to be with us “forever”. Then what about the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic? Your “forever” statement implies that the human population will NEVER develop immunity to COVID-19 like it did with the Spanish flu. I hope that’s not the case.

Making the rest of the country wait to go back to work until the worst hit regions give the all-clear signal reminds me of Outcome Base Education. Instead of everyone starting equally (i.e. getting back to work earlier than NYC), everyone must cross the finish line equally.

The left/media is calling for border control between the states? Hahaha

Today I heard that Texas, Minnesota and parts of Florida are easing up restrictions at the same time NYC Krazy Kommie DiBlasio is talking about September! We may have another Berlin Wall situation developing to keep people from escaping to Long Island , NJ or Connecticut .

Unfortunately, at Abbott tries to open up, Austin, Travis C. and my school district seem to be trying harder to lock down.

Bill and Scott – Thank you again for the excellent repartee. It’s great that there’s enough trust in your friendship to ask hard questions and still keep it conversational. That keeps me coming back for more! I also show it to my kids so they know that this type of conversation not only can be had, but also that it should be had!

(..too bad the Strateocruise is postponed – I so much wanted to introduce them to you. Hopefully I can still bring them when we get the new launch date!!)

But they have started doing Zoom (for now)meetups. They’re just like the Stratocruise but w/o the sea sick part.
