Stripping someone’s name off a military base or school or tearing down their statue without giving them or their supporters the opportunity to defend themselves and present their case and possibly reform or convince us to adopt their beliefs while enjoying the advantage of 20/20 hindsight is anti-American and against due process under the law.
I knew there was something that always bothered me about unilateral removal, and it’s the fact that it resembles the tyranny we united against to be free.
Note: School boards are elected but they overstep their authority when making such decisions and I’m limited to 100 characters in the headline. 😉
