In 1971 or ’72 I saw a bumper sticker in the parking lot of my dorm at Oregon State University saying: Don’t Californicate Oregon. Our governor, Tom McCall did not welcome immigrants from the south. There were posters and ads to that effect. One poster said in latin, Oregon for Oregonians. Now our state is just another member of the statist brothel.
Yes, by all means move to another state and try your “socialist” experiments there! Some of you are true believers, and think it just hasn’t been done right yet. Others know it will never work as advertised, but think they can gain power by enslaving everyone into a pen, like livestock. In any case, the result is the same…we all become equal, equally poor and dependant to the all powerful state for the few crumbs they throw us, while they live like royalty. Too bad so few look at history to see the scam that is socialism/marxism/progressivism, and vote for such. You may be scamming the entitlement system now, but your lazy days will come to an end if these fools take power. No more checks, housing, food stamps, access to medical, free phones and cheap internet with a subsidized laptop. No more free school breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, it all goes away when the money runs out. But you will work long hours with little to no compensation at whatever job the state tells you to do, because after all, it is for the “common good.” Please, please read the history of these goverments, and how they enslave you. Put down your phone and social media for a change, and study how foolish it is to believe their lies. They are after your freedom of choice, your liberty, and to simply live your life as you see fit.

Born and raised on Long Island not far from the city. Under Rudy was great ! BUT, now I am no longer proud of NY, their teams or anything to do with NY… Nebraska not perfect, but a far sight better !!
During the podcast, Steve Green asks ‘Who do the left wingers hate?’ and then provides a couple of alternatives. Sorry, Steve, but the hatred on the left is not limited to a few groups but is instead for life itself and for anybody who values life. The left wing literally hates all of us and themselves and their only satisfaction is seeing death and destruction.
This is a very unfortunate image for me. It triggers trypophobia and I can’t look at it. That means I can’t look at the BW pages until it is gone.

I have a problem with the image (and with a lot of the thumbnails used here and elsewhere) because I am light sensitive and the bright white background is painful, even with all of the mitigation I use anyway (such as browser and computer settings to use dark backgrounds, extreme blue light filters, reduced brightness, and even fitover glasses that block infrared, ultraviolet, and blue light). Unfortunately I just have to scroll past most images as fast as possible, and disable images altogether for a lot of the websites I visit.
Actually that last bit, disabling images, I have found to be an excellent way to keep a lot of things and people out of my head. Mug shots, vapid actresses, rioters, irritating politicians–I don’t even know what most of these people/things look like. This is a good thing!
I use the dark backgrounds where available myself. The bright white is difficult to look at.
I also believe the “blue-ing” of states has been a long-term plan of the Dem’s. Get their puppets in at every level no matter the cost. I also think the lockdown “edicts”, BLM, and Anti-Fa chaos are worse in blue areas because the Dem’s long-term plan is to gut the middle class and make everyone reliant on govt. handouts (one step closer to socialism). Anyone ever ask yourself, “Why did all these Dem Mayors & Gov’s allow their cities to be burned and looted all at the same time?” Almost like it was a plan with money to back it to pay the “hoodlums” to destroy, then turn on the “useful idiots” once they have the Pres. seat back. Too many “coincidences” and rona rules that make no sense. All to bring the country to its knees. Take a step back and look at all that’s gone on since March. There’s been enough time we can see a pattern. Gov’s that have their “edicts” struck down by their or the SC and make a new one the next day! They don’t give a dang about the Constitution. They are traitors. They deserve a military tribunal and a free ticket to Gitmo.
I think the states that don’t want to turn blue should legislate new residency requirements and advertise them far and wide! A suggestion would be a minimum of 5 years in-state to get residency and no voting until you get your residency. Voters in those states need to demand the change and kick out any “representatives” who don’t want the change. Otherwise I think it’ll have to be secession and a person would have to apply for residency and have a 2 year waiting period before consideration. Can’t just move there. Have to stay in the place you messed up.
We need to build border walls.
I recall a few years ago that is something like the top 200 earners in NYC (out of nearly 10,000,000) left the city, the city would go bankrupt due to the lost tax revenue. People vote with their wallets way better than they vote in elections.
However, the cynical part of me wonders if the selection of FL (and for others TX) for some of these businesses is not done with malice aforethought in hopes of turning those states Blue in 2-4 years. Why Jacksonville rather than Tampa or Fort Lauderdale or even Tallahassee?
The increase in banking industry in North Carolina and the influx of people from the North East surely has played a role in that states voting record.
