The SpaceX Dragon capsule docking with the International Space Station (ISS) this week provided a brief respite of happiness in the age of Trump v. Biden rage. But as Bill Whittle notes: even in space someone can hear you scream. Are these moments of orbital bliss going to fade to distant memory during the next four years?

“We don’t want to affect what might happen in the future in terms of evolution…” Here, take this largely untested RNA altering vaccine to prevent the spread of a virus that has a 99.97% survival rate…
Spot on, Bill. Either we stop the election fraud now, or this country is … over!
Spot on Bill ….. if the steal of the election is certified ….. space exploration dies!
How can you not inject politics into space exploration of any kind? The endeavors are politically funded by a political organization. If Congress cuts NASA’s budget, Space X gets less money. We don’t yet have a “private” space exploration industry..Space X is still majorly supported with public funds.
The Feds might cancel SpaceX’s contracts and permission to use Cape Canaverel, but SpaceX privately owns its own actual spaceport in south Texas, where the Rio Grande meets the Gulf of Mexico. Blue Origins also has its own spaceport in West Texas. So they’ll just move all their operations to Texas, and focus on private contracts. And if the Feds make it impossible via regulations for these companies to use their own private land to launch into space, then they’ll move to south America. Or Haiti. Or somewhere.
The Feds can indeed slow commercial space exploration down if they choose. But they can’t stop it. Even if they get the UN to issue strongly-worded letters, they can’t stop Elon Musk from getting to Mars. I’m not sure that even assassination could stop it.
What you say is true because the commercial aspects of the exploitation of space are undeniable. The most the Democrats can hope to accomplish in thwarting space explorations is to force that industry offshore. Thus sending even more jobs and money into the waiting arms of other nations.
If Biden/Harris eventually succeed in stealing this election we can count on one thing above all else. The days of doing what’s best for America are in a holding pattern if not gone completely.
I sincerely hope that if Biden is sworn in, Trump spends the next four years pointing out how everything he does is diametrically opposed to America’s interests. He may have to found his own news organization to do it, but it will be successful.
Yes, you would think that with a 70 million plus viewing market available that some smart rich conservative would have already entered and started to dominate that market. Even Rush only has a fraction of that group actually listening to him, even if we know about his views, orientations, etc. and generally agree with and support his current and past efforts.
I keep hoping that love of green will overcome hate of blue or red.
Lunatics……I see what you did there.
If the members of Congress we have today had been the members attending the Continental Congress in 1774 we wouldn’t have a country today.
I suspect that if Musk moved his operations to TX because conditions in CA became untenable, I’ll bet he could move operations to, say, Brazil, if things became untenable in the US,
I’ve already been thinking out potential landing points if America goes teh way of a kurt Schlichter novel. Not that I think it will, but planning out worst case scenarios makes them less scary. Phase I would be leaving The People’s Republic of Arlington, VA for somewhere out West, as in Utah, Idaho or Montana. If the Demcocrats are successful in their desire to Venezuelize the entire country Hungary & Poland would be good places to land. I also got a suggestion that for less of a culture shock Uraguay mightg be easier.
Yeah, If I was gonna, S. America or, more likely, Eastern Europe. Though I wouldn’t even know where to start the process.
Unfortunately the west is succumbing to “Californication” as we often call it. This is why CO, NM, NV, and now AZ are trending bluer and bluer. Utah, Idaho, and Montana are being infected as well. Bill is right when he calls it a virus, cause it acts like one. Wyoming, less so (outside of college-town Laramie), but I suspect even it will get infected in time.
I live in Utah, and stuff I never thought would happen here like Antifa/BLM riots were happening within a few block of my office this summer. The rural areas are still pretty red (even in Colorado), but Salt Lake and environs are turning more and more blue with every passing year thanks to the Californication of the west.
A Kurt Schlichter-esque split is looking more and more like prophecy every day. That may be the only way to save the real America
