Don’t celebrate yet!

So the SCOTUS struck down Biden’s illegal OSHA mandate.  There is a lot to celebrate since we still live in a country with some semblance of rule of law, except it’s only a semblance.  The healthcare mandate is still in place.  There is an important detail we should not miss.  These tweets from Dr. Benjamin Braddock (@GraduatedBen) sum up the other details we need to know going forward.

“They always push to the extremes, then let the judiciary moderate the policy, even strike parts down, to satisfy the malcontents, but they’ve still moved the window 5 points to the left, they’ve successfully imposed on 10 million but you’re happy that it’s not 100 million…Am I glad OSHA rule went down? Nothing but loyal regime soldiers in your local hospital. You have been processed….Notice Psaki’s first response is to celebrate 17 million healthcare workers being treated like livestock. Doesn’t seem remotely upset over OSHA. This is how the sausage gets made…. None of us are free until all of us are free. No compromise. We keep fighting until no one is forced to choose between their job or an irreversible medical procedure, or forced to disclose vaccination status to eat in a restaurant or work out. #Resist”

Make no mistake, this is a victory.  But while the battle is won the war is far from over.  And we’ve got a lot of work to do.
