Leaving Google

I stumbled upon this video on youtube today about moving to a phone OS that does not use Google. I found this video to be extremely informative regarding de-googled phones and thought others might be interested as well if they would like to deny google their data.

WARNING!

As I mentioned in a comment on another post about this guy, I’ve been checking out his Android app and, as one who designed and wrote software for nearly 40 years, the app isn’t even something I would call an alpha version. In other words, I would be ashamed to show it to anyone outside my company until it is greatly improved. The concepts are great but to this point the execution is very poor. (I’m talking with his developers and offering suggestions.)

I would do a thorough vetting of any software his company produces before installing it for important uses, especially security software such as his VPN. You need to be certain of things like that and if the Android app is any indication of the general quality of his work, I wouldn’t trust any of the rest.

I figure Google is rooted in everywhere like crabgrass now, so I’ll proceed with caution.

Yes, I’ve watched several of his vid’s. He also has one about the safest web browsers, degoogling phones (think he said not much can do with Iphones), and much more.
I signed up for his VPN yesterday. He also has a VPN/Router combo and sells degoogled phones.
BytzVPN.com for info. on VPN, etc.
Have to make an acct. on Brax.me to buy from his store, but it’s open source and no tracking.
Worth a look!

You’re not the first to discover this. It is currently trending on YouTube and a fellow member also already posted something about this. But I do think it is generally a good move.
