I’ve been following Bill Whittle’s work for nearly a decade and have found much inspiration in his Afterburner and Firewall series. I used to play episodes in my classroom back when I was teaching while students were coming into the classroom and I was taking attendance.
When Bill began focusing on messaging to young audiences about freedom and conservative values through the culture, I knew he was onto something important. Many of you may not relate to the graphic novel element of short movie production as “gaming”, but it’s not, it’s a messaging platform. I get it…
Once again, taking inspiration from Bill’s vision I’ve launched yet another project to get the messaging to those who it will affect the most, our kids. Well, your kids, as I don’t have any; for which Isaiah 54:1 is encouraging.
My first effort
was to help people with personal finance, money management, and growing their family, personal, and retirement wealth. “How many people are having trouble with money these days?” Nearly all of them… So, BIG audience. The problem is, it’s a tough message. I still offer that help which started with a book and now features online course content that leads people to appreciate and involve themselves in entrepreneurship. Bill’s “What We Believe Series” was an inspiration to portions of that content.
A Novel Idea:
My second effort was a fun novel aimed at children pre-employment age to post-teen that rehearsed conservative values, success, and achievement as positive motivators. That work is still in progress…

My latest effort involves messaging through the culture of t-shirts. Who doesn’t like a cool t-shirt in which to kick-around and relax? One of the quotes from the pinned post reads:
“If we’re going to change the world, we have to change the points of discussion on the table. “I like your shirt!” is a great conversation starter!”
How to appeal to the younger audience to get them to the Facebook and web page to be exposed to the PATRIOTIC message and to see entrepreneurship in action applied to several points of culture, both of which they already like and enjoy: MUSIC and t-shirts!
So, rather than sit and watch, that’s the action I took and still pursue. I’m working on the project of messaging also, but I’m using my skills, perspective, and talents to do so.
Why tell you folks this?
Because there are those actively involved in seeking to limit or eliminate our rights and freedoms. If we don’t change the messaging, if we don’t take back the culture, we may soon find we aren’t permitted to discuss radical ideas like “freedom” or might have to explain to our children (if we’re licensed to procreate) what “freedom” was like, back when we were in a position to preserve and protect it. I think it’s become painfully obvious lately that “it’s later in the game than we thought” and we don’t have any more time-outs.

Here’s a sample of the post that went out today, note the content of the message; associated with the PATRIOTIC store. (links follow at bottom)
You’re a free spirit. Convention and conformity are just not your thing. The problem is, powers are encroaching upon your freedom to be who you were born to be. There are those that would have you molded to their vision, for the “greater good”.
That’s always the excuse; the greater good, determined by those who know better than you, are smarter, have more education, are deemed “essential”. You remember, some people, their jobs, and the businesses they ran were essential, and some were “non-essential”…
If you don’t want to live in that world, you’re an American. And it doesn’t matter if you were born somewhere between the Pacific and Atlantic, in the USA herself, or anywhere else. Freedom is uniquely America; a set of ideals for which we strive; and those ideals are under assault.
Proclaim your independence and talk about what freedom means to you with those around you. If you don’t, one day you may not be legally permitted to do so.
Because Freedom is everything!
