Scott, I remember Steve Martin did a stand-up routine about being in Paris and not being able to speak French. He got in a cab and told the driver to take him to the hotel. The driver didn’t speak English, so Steve Martin asked again, but in a French accent!

Scott, re Basic Economics. I’ve been listening to the different chapters of this audio book for at least 2 years now. Amazing how he writes. When I come across a subject in the news I don’t know much about or am unclear on how something works, I’ll search the chapter list of Basic Economics to see if Sowell had written about it.

Chapter 23: International Disparities in Wealth. Such a Duh moment, yet I had lived all of my life never thinking about all the reasons why there was such global disparities in wealth. Now I know…. thanks to Thomas Sowell. And I’d never have heard of Thomas Sowell without hearing Bill Whittle talk about him on many old PJTV Afterburners. Thanks to Bill Whittle for introducing me to “a man who knows how to think”.

Yes Scott, there is a Christian singer named Steve Green. You could also be thinking of another Christian singer by the name of Keith Green. He was a very good Christian rock singer who tragically died with his son in an airplane accident in 1985. He is survived by his wife and daughter who had stayed home.
