Watching some (certainly not all) of the two-night, Democratic debates, as one might guess, two themes surfaced: what we are going to get for free and the evils of Donald Trump. The second theme is the one that has me perplexed. Where is the evil?
As a US citizen, I cannot give you one example of President Trump violating any of my constitutional rights (not that I am a Constitutional scholar). As a matter of fact, on several occasions, while listened to family, friends, or acquaintances talk about their disgust of President Trump and what he is doing to our country, I have asked, “Give me one example of where President Trump has violated any of your constitutional rights as a US citizen.” I always emphasize “as a US citizen.” This request has always been followed with silence.
See, this is the source of my dismay. I have never heard anyone cite a specific Constitutional Amendment (with supporting evidence) that President Trump has violated. Not family, friends, acquaintances, nor Progressives and Never Trumpers.
Can someone—anyone—give me just one example of President Trump violating the constitutional rights of any United Sates citizen?
