Trump Pwned! Tulsa Rally Tickets Reserved by Pranksters Leave Arena Hollow

President Trump’s first big rally, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after the COVID-19 shutdown happened in a largely empty arena thanks to online pranksters who reserved most of the tickets before real Trump supporters could get them. The men of Right Angle propose some ways to keep the Trump campaign from getting pwned again. Bill Whittle, Scott […]

New Sticky Video Feature Lets You Scroll without Missing a Smirk

Thanks to a suggestion from Member Old Griz, I’m testing a feature that will let you play a video, and then scroll down the page to the comments without missing a single smirk or eye-roll from Bill Whittle, Stephen Green or Scott Ott. While every innovation comes with unintended consequences, in my testing, this one […]

Mika Grills Biden on Tara Reade Sexual Assault Allegations

You’ll see a lot of analysis of this in the coming days, but I always try to go to primary sources when available, before I hear the punditry. Here’s MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski full interview with former Vice President Joe Biden about the allegations of a 1993 sexual assault by then-Senator Biden against a young staffer, […]

Technically-Challenged: Member Video Chat Ep. #004

The latest Member video chat goes off the rails within seconds, and it was out intention to edit out the rough parts, but two factors made that impossible:
1) There aren’t enough smooth parts
2) The rough patches comprise the best parts of the video.

Whatever Mr. Tfue Earns on YouTube, It’s Not Enough

At a time like this, there’s something oddly comforting about watching a man with a stick build a magnificent Roman bath style swimming pool in the jungle. Trust me on this one.

Saner-at-Home Jams: Morgan James in a NY State of MInd

Morgan James has posted a treasury of stripped-down acoustic versions of classic songs during the pandemic sequester, and I could post just about any of them, but my fondness for Billy Joel has overwhelmed my instincts.

Morgan also does one of my favorite versions of “Dream On” with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox.

PandemicFlu.gov: The Lost Bush-Era Preparedness Site

Just watched the 2005 video of President George W. Bush addressing the National Institutes of Health about preparing for the threat of a global pandemic, which our Member, Ralph Kopera, posted here. In it, President Bush mentions that the federal government has created a website to help us. The URL — PandemicFlu.gov — Bush says […]

19 Days: NY Times Holds Tara Reade’s Sexual Assault Charges Against Joe Biden

The New York Times waited 19 days after the new broke elsewhere before reporting on sexual assault allegations by Tara Reade against Joe Biden. While the encounter dates back to 1993, the Times’ previous coverage of ultimately-unfounded and old charges against Brett Kavanaugh broke much more quickly. Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet says they just […]

Obama Backs Last Man Standing and ‘Fredo’ Cuomo Wants to ‘Do You’

The enthusiasm was very nearly noticeable as former President Barack Obama finally endorsed his own former vice president Joe Biden, the last man standing in the Democratic primary. Meanwhile, Chris ‘Fredo’ Cuomo has a mid-life crisis on air, lamenting that his CNN job restrains him when critics attack and he wants to “do you the […]

Members Video Chat: Hey, ChiComs, Listen Up! (Ep. 002)

Our second Members-only video chat, recorded April 15, 2020, wandered far and wide, and we had a great time! If you’d like to be part of the next one, send a Private Message to me (Scott Ott) with your email address.

Participants in Ep. 002 (left to right, top to bottom) Rod, Scott, Gene, William, Ray, Ralph, James, Steve, Bill, Kevin, Laura
