Mildly embarrassed I didn’t think of this actually….

Greetings from the UK fellow Deplorables. Or perhaps, coming from the other side of the Pond, I’m a Lamentable, possibly a Woeful.
Be that as it may, I’m here, on this wonderfully and unapologetically American site because I believe strongly that the US and the UK are, or at least should be, close, natural and unshakeable allies.
Briefly, I'm a British patriot and constitutional traditionalist with distinct libertarian tendencies and I believe in the UK's independence from the EU.
Just came to me while watching the latest Right Angle.
A variation on my previous meme.
Don’t Blink’n miss this meme…
For your delectation.
9/11 in the UK
Here are some 9/11 tributes from the UK, that caught my attention this weekend. On my way to my Mum’s today I passed the church of St. Mary’s in Sunbury on Thames. They usually fly a Union Flag/Jack and various other flags on appropriate days. This weekend this 18th century Anglican church on the banks […]
12th September
On this, the 20th anniversary of the day after the 9/11 attacks, I thought I would share the story of a remarkable event that happened on another 12th September 124 years ago. The story reflects elements of the last two decades and I offer it here as a stirring and inspiring tale of incredible bravery […]

Dear friends. I thought I’d share with you H.M. The Queen’s message on this grim anniversary. Below that is a link to the tribute paid to the US by the band of the Coldstream Guards at Buckingham Palace by her own instructions back in 2001. https://youtu.be/ToECtXPMvNM
A blast from the past…
I was reading a piece about Alexander Vindman telling Republicans to shut up when something about the picture illustrating the piece hit me, in the face, like a big, wet Flounder!
The recent Virtue Signal “A Line in the Sand” really struck a chord with me. I know that I spend far too much time fretting and fuming about events I cannot control and can influence about as much as a flea on an elephant’s back can influence the elephant. Bill and Zo are quite right […]
A picture paints…
I’ve seen and heard many words expended debating the former Vice President’s watch based lapse while attending a ceremony to honour the return of thirteen individuals who deserved his full attention, what there is of it. It has been pointed out that the “impartial” MSM has been less critical than they would have been if […]
Variations on a meme…
In a single handed attempt to solve the climate crisis and heal the planet, I have re-cycled a quote and used to make not one, but two memes. I have calculated that just sharing these memes will give you enough carbon smug points to run an SUV for 4 to 6 months.
As you might expect, just like in the US, Afghanistan has much discussed here in the UK recently. In any discussion about Afghan affairs in Britain it is practically a legal requirement that at some point someone will say in a smug, know-it-all way something very like this “Of course, they should have learned from […]
Separated at birth?
I’ve seen a few memes recently comparing and contrasting General Milley’s ribbon bedecked chest with the much more minimalist display on General Eisenhower’s. Looking at pictures of Milley, I was struck by a strong feeling of having seen him before, so I went back to a Dr Who story from back when I was alive. […]
In the south of England, at the east end of the West Country where it meets the plain old South, is the county of Dorset. It is a lovely place, with a great combination of coast and countryside and is a little out of the way. Some of my fondest childhood holiday memories are of […]
